Back in the days before I had kids, I was a prolific reader. I even created a challenge myself one year to do a “read-a-thon,” where people pledged money for each book I could read in a year. I was able to send more than $5,000 to one of my favorite charities, Blood:Water, to help build wells in Africa and promote AIDS prevention. I read something like 170 books that year. It was awesome.

Then, kids.

Oh boy. I no longer can power through books like I used to. A chapter here, a few lines there. That’s often all I get through before totally zonking out at the end of the day. So having a bookmark or two on my bedside table is a must! Gotta keep my place until tomorrow, when I’ll get another few lines in before I fall asleep again. How to Make a Cricut Bookmark

Bookmarks, using your Cricut Explore or Cricut Maker, are some of the easiest projects you can make using your machine! They are perfect for beginners and make great gifts for any bookworm in your life. Some are as straightforward as cutting a single layer of cardstock, while others may involve gluing several layers, folding, or sewing. Before you start your project, make sure you have all of your materials on hand to avoid having to make a run to the craft store!
